Al Basar International Foundation works across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, helping communities where access to eye care is limited. Through our eye hospitals, outreach programmes, school screening initiatives and specialist eye care missions, we work to prevent avoidable blindness and improve access to treatment.
Free treatment is intended for people who need eye care but cannot afford the treatment they require. Patients are assessed according to their medical needs, and our medical teams determine the most appropriate care. The services available depend on the programme and the facilities in place.
Al Basar supports the prevention and treatment of a wide range of eye conditions. These include cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, trachoma related complications, squint and other complex eye conditions. Our Zakat funds strictly follow Islamic principles and are allocated 100% to patient care, directly funding surgeries, medications, and treatments for those most in need. We maintain complete transparency and clear reporting for all charitable donations.
